Temporary registration in a rented apartment is one of the challenges, which tenants regularly face with. Although this is the simplest procedure that takes very little time, many property owners still fear it like the plague.

Temporary registration is not a residence permit
The concept of the residence permit is obsolete. However, even then it was confirmed by a stamp in the passport and gave a person the right to manage the real estate.

To do this, the landlord must come to the center for providing administrative services, complete the application, provide a copy of the passport and documents confirming the title to his/her apartment. Foreigners may need visa a copy, if available, or other documents confirming the lawful stay in the country.

Temporary Registration and Utility Payments
The amount of rent is really affected by the number of people registered in the apartment, no matter whether permanently or temporarily. There are two ways to make up for this shortfall:

The second one –is to have electricity, water, heating meters installed. Then rents will depend only on how much and what was really spent, and not on the standards rated for the number of people.

The ambiguous issue is whether the tenant can represent the owner of the apartment at the meetings of residents of condominiums or other communal meetings.
